Britney Cyrus with Pitbull?

I can't help it.  I saw this picture and thought Britney Spears meets Miley Cyrus! This was taken from the 2011 AMA.

The outfit looks so much like the Toxic body suit in a different shade. The scene makes me think VMA with Pitbull instead of Robyn Thicke. 

Print Crazy

We finally got a new printer. Naturally it has to be tested so that we know if we need to send it back and get a new one. Whatever shall I do? Answer: print picture collages.

I made 2 custom designs for my tumbler, printed some stuff for my daughter, created some labels for my boys. Trying not to go crazy and paper the house with prints.  I love the picture quality!

Back to Working Out

So I finally did it. I finally stopped giving myself excuses and started working out again. I am thankful that Curves is near enough now. I really hate having to go far though even as it is, I still have to drive over there and park which I would have preferred to avoid (additional ouches to the pocket ).

Discovered I am not as bad off as I thought. My weight was lower than I expected. My BMI still came out in the normal range though higher than I would like. Let's not talk about the measurements since those would make any woman cry. Seriously not rushing but looking forward to the results being an improved me.

If you look in this gym, you'll see a bunch of workout machines in a circle separated by square workout boards. They look easy, and they are easy if I was more fit. After half a circuit I knew my face was very red, I was very tired and the only thing that kept me going was the fact that my workout buddy was my daughter and I really didn't want to look like a total wimp. The best part was the cool down.

I found that I am still very flexible but my strength and stamina is nowhere near what I hoped. I have a long way to go but at least I have started.

Things to love about going to Curves:

• It's a gym for women only - I love that!
• the only mirrors are in the dressing room
• The setup is friendly - working out in a circle rather than what it is in most gyms is great!
• Mostly machines - you still get a workout but not using only your own strength
• The workout is only 30 minutes + cool down
• You always have a trainer every workout without any additional fees to pay

Things I dislike about going to Curves:

• It's in the mall which means I have to pay for parking each time and the gas.
• The circuit is a total of only 30 minutes so I feel like a rabbit jumping in and out of the stations
• I wish I could get more comfy in the machine before I have to jump to the next but I guess that's the point.
• No hair dryer. You have to bring your own - but I can live with that.

Big ouch!

I leaned over the edge of my bed to pet my puppy and scared him half to death as I fell, almost on top of him. He hurriedly scampered away and hid under one of the cabinets. Sadly he is now afraid to stay beside the bed  since I bet he fears I might squash him.

As for me, I landed badly and have a huge bruise up my right side and I jarred my old injury. Back to the it hurts to sit, hurts to stand, hurts to do anything mode. The good part, since I work from home, I have the joy of not having to move around much. The bad part, I do have to move some and even little movements hurt (back affected).

I can hear my dad now - that's a sign you need to lose weight. Sigh...I hear you dad.

Movie Review: Capt. America

We heard great reviews of the film and were really excited to see the film. What's not to like? Captain America and Black Widow are back on the big screen. Add in the arrival of the not so mysterious villain (since we all know who it is) and the stage is set for action!

Battle Inside the Flow

Whatever it is that causes the pain of dysmenorrhea, I wish it would be permanently leave and not replenish it's army every month. It HURTS!!!!! OTC pain medicine and hot water bottles only help ease the pain a little. The best solution is still sleep - which you can't do when there is work to be done.

Subic Trip

We decided to go on a road trip and take the Titan (our Chevrolet Trailblazer) on it's first run. Off we went to Subic with our friends. Simple plan: go, explore and come back. It having been years since I was last there, I had to do some research. There were quite a number of articles that came up but this proved the most helpful: 5 Restaurants To Try In Subic.

I am so thankful for technology. Never having driven there, it paid to have my smartphone with data plan and Google maps. Not being a native and not wanting to have to ask for directions unless absolutely necessary, Google Maps was a must. It only failed once. That was when I used the phone for its basic function - calling!

Soccer Mom

It's official! I am now a Soccer mom. I was very happy when my son told me he wants to learn how to play soccer. I was even happier that he and his dad found the school he can learn from. Of course I still had to be the one to make the calls but that was okay with me.

When the coach asked me how he developed an interest, I told him it was because he watches Detective Conan with me. He asked me what that was. I had the joy of talking about my favorite anime. I told him about Detective Conan movie 16: The Eleventh Striker. I hope the kids enjoy the movie. I get the feeling they'll be watching it soon.

I just got a funny request. Perhaps some of you will not agree with my humor or opinion so feel free to agree to disagree :)

Someone I know sent me a message and a link. It said please vote for this person. She's the girlfriend of my son. Out of curiosity, I clicked the link and saw that apparently said girl was in a pageant to be school beauty queen. She looked like your typical college student. I'd never met her and was honestly not moved to click the like button. Perhaps it was also because I did not go to that school and  have no opinion as to what their rep should look like.
